About Daniel Swarovski
In 1862, Daniel
Swarovski was born in Bohemia. Crystal defined
life in his parents' home. Bohemia, at that time part of the Austro-Hungarian
Empire, was one of the most important manufacturing centers for glass and
crystal. Crystal was also cut in his father's small factory.
As a young boy, Daniel watched the
work in his father's business. Later he completed his apprenticeship with his
father.
At the age of 21, he visited the "Elektrische
Ausstellung" (First Electrical Exhibition) in Vienna, where he had the
idea of his life. He developed a machine for cutting crystal. Nine years later (1892), he was ready to register a patent. His new machine made it possible to
cut crystal to perfection. And it was far faster and more precise than the any manual
work to date.
Thus began
a new era in the world of crystal. The foundation had been laid for what their company
has become today. Daniel Swarovski, together with his brother-in-law Franz Weis,
and Armand Kosmann founded Swarovski in 1895.
What are Swarovski Crystal Pearls? Swarovski Crystal Pearls are created around a crystal core. This crystal core
gives the pearl its ideal weight.
Then, the
Swarovski Pearl is coated, giving the appearance of a natural pearl, glowing
from the inside. The pearl coating developed by Swarovski is applied around the
crystal core in pearly, luscious layers.
The Swarovski
Crystal Pearl is of the same weight and texture, as a genuine cultured pearl. These
crystal pearls feel and look so good that, when created into a lovely pearl dog
collar, it offers the look of high quality at an affordable price.
